Aw so very cute!

slouching mom

Oh my. They are adorable!

Antique Mommy

I like that you knew that EB White was called Andy. And the Elvis with a lisp line made me laugh out loud. AD is allergic to cats so we have to borrow our neighbors for our cat petting needs. I have only had one cat in my life and that was when I was three. His name was Precious and he weighed about 15 pounds. He looked exactly like Morris. He let me push him down the street in my doll stroller. He was a good cat.

I am blown over by their cuteness. Especially the black ones. I am drawn towards black animals for some reason. Our cat Diabla is black, and she is my favorite cat I've ever owned. We just lost another one of our cats this year to lymphoma and I keep thinking we need a kitten, but no. Two cats and two dogs are enough for us. BUT KITTENS ARE SO CUTE! Sigh.

Ortizzle

Great names! The kittens are adorable. (Watch your knitting, heh, heh...)

My weekend? Reading, writing, cleaning, scrubbing, ironing, sorting, organizing... and a goofy movie and dinner out. No cute kitties; I'll just have to live vicariously through yours.

Suebob

I have to admit that I am prejudiced: orange tabbies are my favorite.

AlphaCatMa

Orange tabby lover here, too!

I use to have cats. They were named Puss, Boots, Sneakers, and other dull things. Damn. You have well named cats AND kids.

V-Grrrl

I would love to get another cat and give Pete company.

Cats I have owned and loved: Sundance, an orange tabby; Tessie, a long haired calico with a big black splotch on her nose; Shasta, a vocal, blue-eyed Siamese mix; and Amy, my late great sweetie pie of a tortoiseshell tabby.

Honestly, you people who take in strays and homeless animals are soo ... soo ... eccentric. Nothing good can ever come of it.

I know this from experience. We used to take in animals all the time. Then last month, we took in two litters of kittens and their mothers (cats cross-nurse. Who knew?)

Well, the kittens all found homes, but the mothers just stayed and stayed until ... well, until I kinda got used to having them in my office. And I must say, they have kept my office mouse-free in that time, which, OK, I hadn't seen any mice before but they were there. Probably. But not any more.

So I grudgingly allowed that OK, we could adopt them, even though I don't like them very much and they ARE stupid cats and I'm a dog person and I don't cuddle them at all.

When anybody is watching.

OMG they are so cute. How fun. does that make it 5 cats total in your house?! Wow.

BID

They are cute and in my current situation it is really hard to see that. I also have a habit of saving cats and there are too many here at the train station I call home. Enjoy them while they are little!! And congratulations!

Becca

So cute! I've never known a cat named "Javorski" before. Pretty good.

Actually...all our animals--cats, dogs--(except for the Bearded Dragon Lizard who stays in a terrarium and the snake who lives similarly upstairs in Mr. Half's office which is over the garage) live OUTSIDE. The kittens stayed in the laundry room for one night and then they moved to a covered/walled breezeway that connects the garage to the laundry room. It has a cat door which we've blocked until they're old enough to venture out unsupervised. Also, we block the door to keep the raccoons and possums from coming in at night and messsing with the kitties. How scary would that be? I'm allergic to cats as well so even if we were inclined to let them live inside...we couldn't.

Lovely pictures. You sound like my dad. He is the "dog rescue" in the town where he lives, so they always have somewhere around 20 dogs living at their place. My mom always tells me, "If you had a big place, you'd have double digit dogs like your dad"--nice alliteration if nothing else. I have one Dachshund, and he is spoiled rotten, so I don't think he'll go for that.

You can't go wrong with a cat named after EB White. He was a prolific and talented writer and a great lover of Dachshunds.

They're obviously bright and inquisitive animals, with those names!

Beth

Love the names! "Andy" - just this last week Mom and Dad and I were talking about E.B. White and couldn't remember what his nickname had been. I'll pass that information along. :)

I spent the weekend with my own new puppy and a friend's basset hound. Poor Jake. He had no idea he would be serving as Daisy's favorite chew toy for three days when his mom dropped him off.

Fold My Laundry Please

Congratulations on the new additions! They're so cute! I would love to get a pet, but I already have three pets, err, children, to feed and pick up after right now!

Nance

Sigh. Had I known you were in The Market, I would have sent Emily and Travis down. I am mightily tired of them both, but I know you'd all have found them charming. Hell, I'd have packed up their beds, bistros, food, toys, and hand-vac. Interested? The offer is still ON THE TABLE.

Lisa

My four-year-old son was excited to hear you had a cat named J-Train. He and his daddy went to the A&M football game this weekend, and my son got to give J-Train a high five. He has since been dropping "J-Train" into conversations for no apparent reason, especially with his grandparents, who have no idea who that is...

Tink

My eyes! My eyes! The cuteness is too much! ;)

Gina

Kittens are just irresistibly cute!

I love all the names!

shelley

Congratulations on your achingly sweet new babies! (I guess now that one's off to college, you all needed something to keep you occupied ....)

Jay

I am sooo allergic to cats. But, they absolutely love me. Anytime I'm at somebody's house who has cats, their cats just run and jump right in my lap.

Come to think of it, kids do the same thing and I'm not all that fond of them either. ;-)
