Sunday "To Do " List
1) Get up early to spur the middle and youngest sons into their commitment to do eight hours of volunteer work for a local charity...in exchange for said hours counting on a scout merit badge.
2) Help oldest (home for the weekend) pack to go back to school.
3) Wrap gifts for hubby's birthday (Monday!!).
4) Make Chocolate Sheath Cake for same birthday.
5) Long walk.
6) Lose two games of Scrabulous. Win another.
7) Watching two episodes of "Trading Spaces" (new!) and two of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight". Oh, TLC (The Learning Channel)....how do I love thee?
8) Made a set of wine glass marker using glass beads and laminated Mexican Bingo cards. Consider selling them in sets.
What did you do this weekend?

did you really do all that in one day?? Even a long walk? I'm jealous of your learning channel. we don't have cable. that's why I want it.
And this weekend? Called into work yesterday since the baby was sick and I couldn't move my shoulder. And today I took the girl to the ER for a dislocated thumb. It was lovely and I'm hoping tomorrow gets back to normal chaos as opposed to extraordinary chaos.

Is a sheath cake like a condom cake?? Just kidding!
Let's see - I worked in the yard, had dinner with friends, did 4 loads of laundry (only put away 2 though!) and made lasagna for dinner last night. Love the wine markers - those are really cute.

I love the tags - where did you get the cards? They are gorgeous.
Let's see:
Saturday hubby went to work on the set for the play so it was like a normal work day in which I get nothing done and simply try to keep the kids from killing each other (hey, I was successful!). I made pizza for dinner, which is unusual because I only make dinner a few times a year. This actually makes the third time this month, which is REALLY unusual since I'm gone to rehearsal 5 nights a week. (Wow, what a bunny trail THAT was.)
Several loads of laundry. Emptied, refilled, emptied, refilled, emptied dishwasher. Washed dishes that couldn't go in dishwasher. Made two ridiculous-looking wristbands for part of my costume. Covered kneepads with pink fleece for aforementioned costume. (Don't worry, pictures will be posted.) Spent a glorious few hours OUTSIDE on Sunday checking on my flowers in various stages of sprouting, budding, and blooming. And some (ahem) recreational activity with hubby since both kids were asleep by 10:30.

Love the Loteria markers. Definitely sell them on etsy.com
You could also do keychains...

Those wine glass charms are awesome. Etsy, anyone? I'd buy one as a keychain.

Sometimes a list is so satisfying.

Not nearly as much as you!

Definitely sell them in sets. Those are COOL.
I am addicted to Scrabulous. It's the only reason I'm on Facebook. Next time I log in I'm starting a game with you.
What did I do this weekend? Hmmm...let's see. Lots of deep breaths and mumbling of my mantra, "This is just a phase, he won't be like this forever", coupled with copious amounts of chocolate eating/sobbing/bouts of mommy guilt because my son is a maniac.

Um....
(I second the Etsy comments - also your fridge magnets with WWMRD pictures. Everyone comments on mine, you know.)

We played Boggle (and the children played with us! a first!).
The boys cleaned their desks.
My husband and I played a duet (he viola, I piano) -- it did not sound very good.
And we watched a lot of Mike Rowe's Dirty Jobs. Mike Rowe is hawt.

It's Tuesday, and the weekend has evaporated in a foggy haze. On Saturday night we were guests of our Belgian neighbors and enjoyed one of those long multicourse, sit-at-the-table for hours dinners where politics and other topics are discussed while the wine flows. I LOVED that.
And your wine charms are FABULOUS. You know what I'd do with them? Hang them from some of the cabinet knobs in the kitchen.
I'd love to be at your elbow when you're making these sorts of projects. I've never done anything like that and just have the itch to give it a try.

Another cool use for your charms--hang them off the points of a patio/deck umbrella when you're entertaining...
Posted by: V-Grrrl | February 18, 2008 at 11:20 PM
